When you think about your emotional health, it's important to have a clear definition of what it means in order to reach emotional wellness. Flight, Fight, Freeze: Trauma Response and Triggers
Mental health triggers can be anything from a traumatic event to a person's environment or even a thought or memory. It's important to be aware of potential triggers so that we can better manage our mental health. Flight, fight, or freeze is a common response to a threatening or stressful situation. The "flight" response is a way of avoiding the situation, the "fight" response is a way of confronting the situation, and the "freeze" response is a way of feeling helpless or paralyzed by the situation. It is important to recognize which response we are having in order to better manage it. Listen in as we touch the surface of this topic in this episode.
